Tintin

Ok. Before I get on with my Christmas post, I'm going to do a MOTM.

Before I get started though, I'd like to inform you that I am a huge Tintin fan. Huge. I have all of them, even the one that they don't print anymore, because it's so racist and mean to animals. I LOVE Tintin.

So when they made the movie, I was ready for it to be bad.. You can't take those books and make it into a movie. They did a TV show, and it was good, but a 3D movie? Nah. So I went to see this ready to be tisk-tisk-ing it. Low expectations.

I guess because I had low expectations, it was good. It satisfied me. The only thing I really didn't like was Snowy. He looked to... Human. I mean, it was cute, but it wasnt Snowy. Plus, Snowy is floofy. He's fluffy. But it was okay.

I had to get used to all their faces though. But it was good.

It had really, really, really good effects. The animation was great.
I liked how that if you know the books, and your paying attention, then you can see bits of the books hidden. A Easter egg, if you will. There was bits of many of the books in the movie, secretly slipped in. There is also a new (not in the books) part, how the butler of the mansion, Nestor, is also the second hand in the ship. Very clever.

In the books though, there are landmarks of real places. I the movie there wasn't. But that's okay. Overall, for me, it was good. Not great, good. Worth seeing.
